Martinsville Speedway To Celebrate RCR's Anniversary
8/18/2009
Martinsville Speedway has been a significant part of Richard Childress’ long NASCAR career, so it’s fitting that the historic track is part of the 40th Anniversary Celebration of Richard Childress Racing.
Childress raced on the tough ½-mile track as a driver, won races here as a car owner with legendary Dale Earnhardt and is still battling for wins with his four-team Sprint Cup operation.
Fans will be able to purchase tickets in the RCR Fan Club section at the TUMS Fast Relief 500 on Sunday, October 25 for only $40. In addition to this, RCR fans will also be able to purchase discount tickets to the Half-Mile Club fan hospitality for only $95, where Childress will be making an appearance for a short Q & A session.
“We are happy to have the opportunity to partner with RCR. Richard Childress has been a big part of racing here at Martinsville Speedway for a long time,” said Martinsville Speedway president W. Clay Campbell. “And of course anytime you can put on a promotion to show your appreciation of the fans, it’s a win-win for all parties.”
“Martinsville Speedway has been like a home track to RCR because of how close it is to our race shops in Welcome, N.C.,” said Childress, president and CEO of Richard Childress Racing. “We’ve had some great memories made there over the years and Clay Campbell and everyone at Martinsville Speedway always put on a great event. I thank them all for the opportunity to partner with us during RCR’s 40th Anniversary celebration.”
Tickets are on sale for the TUMS Fast Relief 500, the Kroger 200 and the Virginia Farm Bureau Pole Day and may be purchased by calling 877.722.3849 (877.RACE.TIX) or by visiting www.martinsvillespeedway.com online. Ticket prices range from $25 to $77.
