Power Breakfast To Kick Off TUMS 500 Weekend

Four industry leaders who know the industry side of racing better than most will headline the Business of Racing Power Breakfast at Chatmoss Country Club on Friday, October 23, kicking of the TUMS Fast Relief 500 weekend at Martinsville Speedway.

NASCAR president Mike Helton, NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Jeff Burton, along with Darren Singer, Vice-President of Marketing, OTC Wellness, GlaxoSmithKline, and Martinsville Speedway president Clay Campbell will speak at the breakfast. The event will be emceed by Mike Joy, lead announcer for FOX Sports coverage of NASCAR Sprint Cup racing.

The breakfast, which will benefit the Martinsville Speedway Childrens Foundation, will be sponsored by Ford, Cobbe and Associates, Certified Public Accountants, of Martinsville.

“We are very fortunate to be able to put together such an amazing group of speakers for this event,” said Campbell. “I think everyone in attendance will see a side of the sport they’ve never seen before. It will be a fun, learning experience that in the end, will help a lot of youngsters in the Martinsville and Henry County area.”

Cost of the event, which will begin at 8 a.m. on Oct. 23, is $550 for a table of 10, which includes a full breakfast and 10 tickets in the Bill France Tower for the TUMS Fast Relief 500 on Sunday, Oct. 25.

The Martinsville Speedway Children’s Foundation is a non-profit foundation directing its efforts toward helping children in need. The foundation raises funds through donations and events to be distributed to other non-profit children’s organizations or special projects. The organization is committed to improving the lives of Children in Martinsville and Henry County, Va.
