Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell has come up with a novel but beneficial way to stay cool at Celebration 2014: he’s going to sit in a dunking booth for three hours to help raise money for the Fuel for Families Food Drive.
Kelby Ray says it’s pretty easy to describe the music of The Cadillac Three. “Throw Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Williams Jr. Metallica and Tom Petty in a blender and then serve it on the rocks. That’s exactly what you get with our music,” said Ray.
The Domino Band will feel right at home at Celebration 2014 on July 3. It will be the eighth Celebration appearance at Martinsville Speedway for the Roanoke-based horn band and it never gets old for them or for the crowd.
For the first time fans will have the opportunity to watch driver introductions from the track prior to the Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500 Powered by Kroger at Martinsville Speedway.
Monday may have marked the first “road rally” at Martinsville Speedway, and even though speeds probably didn’t top 60 mph in the few laps run, it was an overwhelming success.
Denny Hamlin doesn’t want to get ahead of himself. He knows he isn’t “officially” locked into the Chase for the Sprint Cup. But with a victory already in hand this season, he knows under the new Chase format, the odds are good he’s in the elimination-style playoff field.
