Martinsville Speedway Already Gearing Up For October

Tickets are on sale for the Goody's Fast Relief 500 weekend at Martinsville Speedway.

With the ink barely dry on another chapter in the storied history of Martinsville Speedway, the track staff is already looking ahead to October and both the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 the Goody’s® Fast Relief 500 race weekends.

Kyle Busch won both the Alpha Energy Solutions 250 Camping World Truck Series race and the STP 500 Sprint Cup Series race in dominating fashion.

“About the only thing better than Kyle Busch last weekend was the weather,” Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell said. “We had three great days of racing and are looking forward to more of the same this fall.”

Up next for the “Half-Mile of Mayhem” is an October that will be packed full of racing.

“People always ask me if we take a few weeks off to decompress after a race weekend,” Campbell said. “As much as I wish we could, we want to get a good head start on planning for the fall, to make it an even better event than the one before.

“With two race weekends in October, it’s certainly going to be a busy month, but that’s what we live for. We love it and our goal is to always make the fans love it as much as we do.”

Racing will return to Martinsville Speedway October 15-16, for the ValleyStar Credit Union 300. The race is the nation’s biggest, richest and most prestigious NASCAR Late Model Stock Car race and regularly sees more than 80 cars show up to try and make the field.

On October 28-30 the track will host the Goody’s® Fast Relief 500 race weekend.

The weekend will start on Friday with Pole Day.

Saturday the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is in action for the Alpha Energy Solutions 200.

The Sprint Cup Series returns Sunday with the Goody’s® Fast Relief 500.

Tickets to both race weekends are on sale now.
