Bands are Set for Celebration 2019 at Martinsville Speedway
The 21st edition of Celebration, the annual Independence Day Celebration at Martinsville Speedway, will be held on July 4th and will feature not one, but two bands.
Roanoke-based ‘The Worx’ and Detroit-based ‘Chairmen of the Board’ are both set to entertain the crowd at the free annual event.
Celebration 2019 will, once again, have carnival rides and the area’s largest fireworks show.
“We look forward to Celebration every year,” Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell said. “Not only is it a way to celebrate our great Nation, but it’s also a truly a community event. From the area businesses that partner with us to make it possible and keep it free, to the people that come out and enjoy the evening, it is for the people, by the people.”
The rides will open at 3 p.m. with music starting at 6:30. The fireworks will start following the music.
Sponsors are still needed to keep Celebration 2019 free. Any interested person or business should contact Jeb Bassett of Bassett Furniture.
