Ticket Holder Options
We appreciate your patience and support as we continue to work with our local, state and health officials to determine if fans can be in attendance at the Xfinity 500 event weekend this Fall.
We recognize that your ability to attend may be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and want you to understand your options if we are approved to host fans.
OPTION 1 if fans are permitted and you would still like to attend in 2020, understanding your new seat assignments will likely be different to accommodate reduced seating capacity allowing for socially distanced seating. To stay locked in to 2020 – no action is needed. We will make every attempt to place you in comparable seating as close as possible to your existing seats. You will be required to follow event protocols such as temperature screenings and utilizing face masks. Once officially approved to have fans, additional communications outlining specific event details, seat assignments, and health and safety protocols will be sent in advance of the event.
OPTION 2 is to opt out of the 2020 race and apply your purchase amount towards your regular seats, camping and experiences to the same event in 2021. To select this option, please click below to complete the form by September 22.
If you do not respond by September 22, we will assume you plan to attend in 2020.
Q: Some members of our group plan to attend, but some of us can’t. Should we fill out the opt-out form?
A: ONLY fill out the form if you wish to opt-out of your entire original purchase. For partial opt-outs and credit policies, please call us at 877-722-3849 before the September 22 request deadline.
Q: Will opting out impact my renewal rights?
A: No, fans will retain their 2021 renewal rights and money will automatically be applied to the same purchases for next year’s event.
Q: If I attend in 2020, what safety measures can I expect will be in place at the track?
A: While specific safety measures may vary slightly from track to track due to state and local public health guidance, fans attending an event in 2020 should expect:
Required face coverings & access to sanitization stations throughout the property
Health screenings (questionnaire and temperature checks) upon entry
Social distancing observed in the grandstands, including:
- Minimum distance between groups
- Restrictions on maximum number of seats in one grouping
- New seats, as comparable as possible to your original seats, for your group based on social distancing requirements
Grab-and-Go concessions options with cashless, contactless payment
Staggered entry to help support social distancing at peak times (i.e. parking lot & gate entry)
Q: Is there anything besides safety measures that will impact the race weekend?
A: As we continue to work with local and state public health officials, there may be changes to event offerings. If any changes occur, we will update ticket holders by email, social media, and our website.
Q: I live in or have recently visited a state currently on a quarantine list for Virginia and cannot travel to the event. What are my options?
A: We are offering the option to opt-out of the 2020 race for fans who may not be able to attend due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fans who choose this option will have 100% of their purchase automatically applied to the 2021 Martinsville Speedway weekend. Requests must be submitted by September 22, 2020.
Q: Can I add tickets to my existing order?
A: Following the reseating process, we may have tickets available for purchase that can be added to your current order – if additional inventory exists under the socially distanced requirement. If inventory becomes available, we will communicate the opportunity to purchase extra tickets.
Q: Will tailgating be allowed? Will I have to wear my mask the entire time I’m at the track? Will coolers be allowed?
A: As required safety measures become available, we will communicate them to fans as soon as possible. Right now, we are working with state and local public health officials to evaluate all options for a safe and fun race-day experience.
